Honors students developing a video game based on the short stories of Edgar Allan Poe

There's nothing like students engaged in reading a good book while listening to it on audio.

Students who were portraying the characters of  "Rumble Fish" by S.E. Hinton  

Each student put together a photo book report using Google Slides that highlighted the plot sequence of the book.  

Students using ToonDoo and Google Slides developed characters for their cell city settings that they made for science class.  

Fun is creating a Halloween music video.  Who you gonna call?   Several students would work after school to develop their videos.  Parents were so helpful!!!

2017-2018 Students, Build a Lego World

Seniors 2022, Now Graduated

Students created shanty homes for Lego refugees after we read about Syrian refugees.  

A small 4th hour class built a life sized refugee shanty with anything that could be gathered on campus. 

 Honors students worked with a virtual reality maker called CoSpaces.   Also, students mentored fourth graders' writing.

Creating a comic strip by hand, there's always room for paper in a digital world.

S.E. Hinton's "Rumble Fish" is always a class pleaser.

Classes listened and read along with novels through the year.  This year, we read four.

2021-2022, The Year of NO MASKS, House Metz

Students earned some old school video game play before MAP testing.

Students made decorations for our team's House Christmas Tree

Students made use of a nice afternoon. After our reward movie time at AMC, students learned that cardboard can be used to slide down hills, old school style.

Our end of the school year field trip was spent at Hijinks in Jonesboro,  AR.  Students bowled and played video games. 

All students read novels in whole class settings.  This is the part where students enjoy reading!
