Experimental efficiency is something we value at MechaTech. Pan Atlantic University is the main location of MechaTech, which was established in 2022. Two issues were discovered while the engineering students were performing a series of experiments on a hydraulic bench as part of their coursework. MechaTech, having studied these problems decided to solve it. We, the members of MechaTech, have decided to build a hydraulic bench, this is to solve the problems of few hydraulic benches and to create efficient Hydraulic benches since the existing ones are unsatisfactory and lack a provision to prevent spillage. This hydraulic bench would spare the students the stress of having to clean up tons of water after each experiment. This project can be utilized for experimentation in other educational Institutions and in communities as a water distributor. This project desires to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 4, 6, and 12.
The materials used were locally sourced and chosen bearing in mind different factors like strength and availability.
The Hydraulic bench can mainly be applied in the educational field. But the principle can be applied in another field. Thus creating the Hydraulic bench, MechaTech is capable of applying the principles in the creation of other equipment.
Educational- The hydraulic bench is used while carrying out fluid mechanics experiments to recirculate the fluid used
The creation of a hydraulic bench can be used as a project to encourage the students to equip themselves with various technical skills
National- A recirculating process can be used to effectively mix fluids.
A hot water recirculating system applies the same principle.
The cooling systems of machines also apply this principle.
Aquariums also apply the principle of recirculation as applied in hydraulic benches
Rural- Drainage systems can recirculate water flow along the different channels to avoid stagnant water.
The Filteration system of water applies similar principles to the hydraulic bench
The principle is also seen in aquaculture.
Fountains also apply the principle.
