Crossing the Delaware

Here we have a photograph of the original painting by Emanuel Leutze. Despite it's many historical inaccuracies, the painting remains one of the most iconic works about based on the American Revolution. 

The painting uses the Armature of a Rectangle to create a sound composition. Students used this convention while sketching out their characters. Student artworks measure 10"x17", on 135lb. watercolor paper.
