ROLE OF THE SCHOOL COUNSELOR
ROLE OF THE SCHOOL COUNSELOR
The role of the school counselor is to serve the school community by bridging everyone together to aid in the success of the students at Pomeroy Elementary. Mrs. Hernandez serves Pomeroy students by providing school-wide guidance lessons, individual and small group sessions, responsive services, collaboration with parents, community organizations and outside agency referrals.

LEADERSHIP & ADVOCACY
The school counselor collaborates with the Administration team to provide support to students and staff. We aim to have a welcoming environment in which staff, parents, students and guests feel welcomed in our community. The Counselor works with the Administrative Team, Communities in Schools (CIS), Afterschool Centers on Education (ACE) and the Parent Coordinator to provide events and opportunities for our stakeholders to partake in.
