The Counselor's Role
Our role as the school counselors at Beverly Hills Intermediate School is to advocate for and support all students on campus. At BHI we strive to teach students that they should "do their personal best" in all aspects of their lives. We collaborate with administrators and teachers to help students fulfill their potential through individual counseling, group counseling, classroom guidance lessons, and college and career readiness. Our goal is to foster positive relationships with students and set them up with skills they can utilize to be successful long after they leave Beverly Hills.
Leadership and Advocacy
Beverly Hills Intermediate School counselors are advocates for all students. Our goal is to help students be the best version of themselves in academics, social and emotional development, and college and career readiness by acting as a liaison between staff, students, and parents . We offer assistance through short-term, solution-focused counseling, referrals for more in-depth, long-term support, and advocate for additional school-based supports based on individual educational needs. The skills we help students acquire will follow them throughout life and help build the framework for life-long success.
