Learning Plus &

Study Hub

Need homework or study support?

Learning to seek help when you need it can be a very positive move in taking ownership of your learning.

You can get help in the library at lunch times with the teachers and the peer tutors on most days in the library at lunch time.

In the library

Students can obtain extra support with school work or general study skills assistance through the library.  Ask at the Information desk and the library staff will work out the best way to address your question or support your need.  Sometimes teachers are available and at other times a peer tutor (Year 11 or 12 student) can provide you with peer support and help with questions you may have about school work or high school life in general. The library monitors are on duty in the library from 1:00-1:30 pm each lunch time.

Learning Plus: Thursday (main library)

Learning Plus is available to all students on Thursdays in the library with a teacher and a senior student peer tutor.

Ask at the Information Desk if you would like assistance with homework at lunchtime in the Library.

Study Hub: Tuesday & Wednesday (Research Room)

What is Study Hub?

Study Hub is provided by a group of Year 12 student volunteers who offer peer tutoring to students in all grades with a particular focus on Maths. You might need a bit of extra help in understanding a concept covered in class or you might have mastered a topic and be interested in extending and challenging yourself. Study Hub may be of value to you in supporting and extending your learning, no matter where you are in your learning journey. You are welcome to bring a friend along too.

When is Study Hub?

Study Hub is available to all students on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in the Research Room starting at 1:00 pm (eat your lunch beforehand).

Do I need to come every week?

No, you don't need to come every week, just when you think you need help. However, if you would like to come every week, that's fine too. You might find that attending Study Hub can help direct you into good study routines by being able to talk with other students about their learning and study habits.
