About

Where is the Sr Ann Marie Learning Centre?

The Sr Ann Marie Learning Centre (SAM LC) is located on the first level of the L Block (above the main staff room). The library space is a shared school community space for study, research, lessons, meetings and student recreational and enrichment activities.

The Centre contains a classroom (suitable for class sizes of up to 30 students), a wide reading area, two open learning spaces for quiet class work and senior study, teacher reference room, two small meeting rooms and a makerspace (equipped with iMacs for design work and a range of 3D printers for prototyping and construction work). In the main library area, students have access to iMacs, Mac notebooks and printing services. The library is also equipped with data projectors and a digital TV.  Students and teachers can access IT support at the IT Helpdesk located in the main library.

A shared school community space ...

As the library is a shared community space, it is important that students maintain appropriate noise levels and are respectful at all times of fellow students and staff members. Please leave desks clean and tidy and place rubbish in the bins provided. Food and drink must be consumed outside the library (in your designated year group areas). Students may bring in water bottles (placed on the floor next to your desk) during study periods. Notebook computers must be returned to trolleys after each session and connected to chargers ready for the next class or senior study group.

A physical and a virtual space ...

Many of the library's services are now offered online which enables students and staff to access resources and information wherever they have internet access 24/7. This includes online access to the eLibrary (the library's catalogue), ebooks, audiobooks, eResources and ClickView.
