The purpose of this committee is to enhance the relationship between the middle school and high school theatre departments. Its goal is not just to recruit middle school students, but to bring them a sense of belonging with high school students like us who share their passion for theatre.
Some activities we partake in include but are not limited to:
making good-luck/congratulations cards for the middle school productions
dropping off decorated personalized goodie bags for them at rehearsal
bringing snacks and/or dessert to them at a dress rehearsals
discussing theatre classes in the high school with them
attending shows outside of Parkway (i.e. the Fox)
attending each other’s main stage productions
performing a dual Improv show at the middle school
JUNIOR CREW – working on tech at the high school part-time
DRAMA ACADEMY – attending an afternoon full of workshops at the high school
Sometimes too much theatre can stress our lives. We spend a LOT of time here at school doing theatre and then we go and see theatre and help others in theatre….well, it can be overwhelming. So…. Let’s TAKE-A-BREAK from theatre! This committee plans different events for the PCH Players to participate in that DO NOT INVOLVE theatre in any way possible. It is a time for us all to just get together and socialize and have fun!
