The theme of the book Schooled, by Gordon Korman is that your actions always have a way of coming back to you. For example, Zach kept on bullying Cap because he was the new kid and he knew nothing about life outside Garland. He called everyone to throw spitballs at Cap and make him 8th-grade president just to bully him and make fun of him. Then Zach wrote Cap's name on the 8th grade president sheet without him knowing and got Cap as president. If Zach hadn't bullied Cap, his actions wouldn't have come back to him. This was proven later on in the story when Cap gets very very popular for giving out checks to charity. Because of this, Zach's friend finds out how cruel and mean Zach was to the greatest President ever, and Zach loses his popularity. At lunch, he gets spitballs thrown at him. Later in the story, Zach calls everyone to come to school to apologize to Cap and how mean Zach was to him. Because of this, people start to like Zach back and he comes back to normal. If Zach hadn't made the apology, then he would still be hated for making the greatest president of all time leave and get hurt. This proves that the theme of the book Schooled, by Gordon Korman is your actions always have a way of coming back to you.
