The book Schooled by Gordon Korman is a book about Capricorn Anderson (short for Cap) and how he deals with society. One of the cool things that happens is there is a hijack part, where Cap takes over the bus and heads off. Also, there is a cool fight scene with the president getting attacked twice and there is lots of drama. If you like learning about action and adventure then you would really like this book. If you also like learning about school life and adventure in a new place, you would like this book.
In school, the setting is the present time, located at school. Cap was homeschooled before, but his grandma is hurt and temporarily needs a Guardian. Cap gets very much hate, but he doesn't mind. Every day at school he gets bullied. His society is most likely a very harsh and mean one. His world might represent hate and misery.

Change
Whenever Sophie meets her dad, she changes from a bad mood to a good mood. I think this is because she misses her dad very much and he has business work to do and he never comes home.
A possible theme for the book Schooled, by Gordon Korman is Change. For example, change can be hard to fit in, but over time, you will fit you. "If you stick with something long enough, you will eventually get it". This is proven when in the beginning, Cap was getting bullied every day and he hated this school, but in the end, he loved the school and hated to leave it.
In the story Schooled, by Gordon Korman, Zach hosts a memorial for Cap and regrets his decisions. If Zach hadn't done the memorial, he would have still been hated, but because he did, everyone liked him back and he is back to normal status.
"Your Actions always have a way of coming back to you"
This is proven when Zach in the beginning, Zach locks Cap in the library for 2 hours, trips him, and makes fun of him in front of people. Because of making him president and bullying him, in the end, everyone hated Zach and he was getting bullied. This proves that "Your Actions always have a way of coming back to you". If Zach hadn't bullied him, people wouldn't bully him in the end, and he would still be popular.
