Vin is a girl who is a Mistborn. Her main role in the book is the main character. her main problem is that she has to try to help lead a rebellion while helping bring the great houses to the ground with financial instability. Vin is determined to complete her tasks and always trying to do her best. Vin is an observant, jumpy, and smart person. physically unimposing but can punch a hole through an army with her allomantic skills. Vin starts to develop a relation with Eland Venture at her spying  balls. she starts to grow affectionate toward him, but she has to try and gain valuable information to help bring house Venture to the ground and is torn about what to do. Vin thinks that she can save every Skaa, and always tries to help those in need.

Kelsier is a companion of Vin. he taught her in allomantic arts. He is stern loving and intense. He organized the plan to over through the lord ruler and funded it. Kelsier always try to save everybody, which is what gets him killed in the end. his role in the story is one of the main characters.

Eland Venture is Vin's friend at balls. he is also the heir to a noble house. he seems careless carefree and lazy always wandering toward a book. at the end we can tell that Vin has feelings for him because she stops to fully trained mistborn from asasenating him in the middle of a ball.

Ham is a deep minded, loving thug(or pewter arm). He is a friend of Kelseirs and is helping recruit, train, and organize the Skaa army. Ham will get in to deep philosophical question and discussions with anyone around him.

.Breeze is a misting soother. he loves a good wine and adds witty comments to every conversation. breeze manipulates Skaa to join the rebellion through his allomantic powers. Breeze is also more aristocratic than the other members of the team.
