Jazz Band meets from 7:45am-8:35am Monday-Friday. Jazz is a zero period class, so it's in addition to your other classes during the day.
Jazz Band meets daily to practice and learn many jazz styles, ensemble playing, individual playing, improvisation, jazz theory, and arranging/composition.

Jazz Band will perform at PHS concerts and other events throughout the year, including fundraisers, festivals, and other events in our Parkrose community.

Depending on interest levels and enrollment, Jazz Band will eventually split into Varsity and JV groups. Half of the week will be live rehearsals with Mrs. Smith, and the other half will be sectionals and individual practice time to prepare for rehearsals and performances. This schedule change will be communicated once enrollment is high enough.
