My name is Earl Fonville and I'm in my 4th year teaching at PHS. I love teaching sport specific classes because there are so many life lessons that can be learned through sports and exercise.
Students in my class will set personal goals, establish life long fitness habits and develop richer social skills needed to work with others. Students will also gain knowledge of fitness skills related to appropriate activities/exercises and specific sports.
Physical Education is integral part of the education of students.
It imperative that students come to school prepared. Please help support your student by ensuring they have the proper foot wear and athletic apparel to optimize their time in class.

Course: Health Education 1 & 2
Information: Hello, My name is Cameron Baker and I am looking forward to my 3rd year in person at Parkrose. The educational opportunities that I provide are student centered and collaboration based. While my class does focus on the biology of the human body, we also emphasize personal growth, emotional health, safety, and physical health. In this class, students will learn about nutrition, healthy lifestyle choices, personal care, and the kinds of changes you may expect as your mind and body develop. Interpersonal relationships and comprehensive sex education are also included. This year, students will be assessed on seven different health skills that are related to Oregon state's health standards. Students will have three opportunities to demonstrate proficiency with each standard and the lowest score will be discarded. These health skills can be found in the "Health Skills Scoring Rubric" link below. I have also included my syllabus. I look forward to work with with students this semester. Please reach out with any questions, and have a great day!

Course: Health Education 2
Information: My name is Craig Hume and I am excited to begin my 15th year at Parkrose High School. I am looking forward to teaching students in-person and having meaningful conversation with them about health and wellness. My goal for my students and the Parkrose community is to provide educational opportunities that will lead to a greater level of wellness during the COVID-19 pandemic. This year, students will be assessed on seven different health skills that are related to Oregon state's health standards. Students will have three opportunities to demonstrate proficiency with each standard and the lowest score will be discarded. These health skills can be found in the "Health Skills Scoring Rubric" link below. The course syllabus link is also located below which includes more detailed information about Health Education 2. Students will need to bring their interactive notebook (INB) to class each day as it will be a learning tool for some of our project based assignments. Finally, my course website link provides many health related resources and information about our Health Services program. This is an elective program in which students can prepare for healthcare careers while earning FREE college credit at Mt. Hood Community College.
