Please don’t change the name of a course. This changes the name for everyone else who has that course. Instead, give a friendly name in the section box.
Save yourself time by linking sections of the same course. You can still use different due dates for each section and customize assignments. WARNING: This can ONLY be done at the beginning of the year!!
Have you created or saved content in Personal Resources or your PLC and want to put it in your new course? NOTE: Click into your folder before copying it to avoid multiple clicks for your students. Also, use the Bulk Edit feature to quickly revise due dates.

Set up your Gradebook in Schoology at the beginning of the year. You can create new categories or copy over the Gradebook Setup from a previous course.

Scores on graded items in Schoology automatically go to the Schoology gradebook. Want to sync grades from Schoology to eSchoolPLUS with a click? Set up your classes (each class) in Schoology to do the sync!
If you make any adjustments to graded items in TAC after the initial sync, the sync will no longer be active. If you select manual sync you will receive a ! message. To reactivate the sync between Schoology and TAC for that item, you can delete the assignment and grades in TAC, and then re-sync your Schoology eSchoolPLUS app to re-create the item in TAC via the sync.

As a reminder, parents and other staff members can only see their child’s Google Drive assignments in Schoology if you set the Schoology Google Drive Assignments folder to “Anyone with the link can view.” Same goes for Google resources such as a weekly agenda or lesson added to your course.
Take the time to adjust your notifications for email and the mobile app.
If you have a paraprofessional or co-teacher who would benefit from being a member of your course, here’s how to include them without the nightly sync taking them out. Pay attention to permissions! With great power comes great responsibility. We recommend setting permissions to view only in most cases. Teachers can also view a student’s courses without being a member by using the advisor dashboard.

Seeing this screen when adding your first Edpuzzle of the year in Schoology? When you click Add Materials ➡️ Edpuzzle, just pick a grade and subject and click Create Class. It will sync your kids from Schoology.
Note: they won’t show up on your progress list until they view the assignment.
Explain to students you will be using Schoology! Teach them how to log in through CLEVER and how to navigate the Schoology interface.. Additionally, have them adjust their notifications.
The mobile app can be used on an iPhone, iPad, or Android Device.
Parents can access their students’ Schoology account and classes by using their HAC username/password. Here is a template for the Schoology Parent Letter.
