This guide will get you started with Classwize and calls out all of the most important areas to note.
Select the Class Settings icon on the relevant class tile.
On the Class Settings dialog, select the Scheduling tab.
Select Add Schedule.
Select the Day, and enter the Start time and End time for the new schedule. Repeat this step to add more schedules.
Select Save.
Focus Mode is a similar feature to limiting tabs to students. The only difference is that you will need to specify which sites the student can navigate through, those will open up in separate tabs, and the student will be unable to open up different sites on other tabs as well as navigating outside of those sites.
First, have the student remove the profile from the login screen on their Chromebook and then sign back in. This ensures the latest extension and configuration is loaded. If that doesn't work,

Yes, all Chrome windows (and any additional desktops) will be recorded, they will appear as tabs in the student's tile in Classwize
Yes, the reports will only record activity while the student is in an active class.
Screenshot history will show the activity for the students during your active class time. Student Journey will show all activity in the time period selected.
You would need to go into the class settings and delete or modify the scheduled time BEFORE the class starts.
If they click on their Linewize Connect extension, it will show them if they are in an active class. However, there isn't a popup or any other on-screen indicator to tell them when they are being monitored.
Our hours set to 7AM - 4 PM, they will be monitored during those school hours when in an active class session.
