Impact

We create spaces to share stories of best teaching practices within and across faculties, at local and national conferences and to cross-border communities, such as ADE and ADS programmes. Our learning enrichment centre, home to neurodiverse children, uses iPad accessibility features to support their learning and ensure their success in our school. Learners collaborate and share ideas and inventions internationally in the Creative Solutions Project Showcase and other worldwide events. We survey learners and parents in order to reflect and review our impact on learning and teaching. We contribute to international research to improve educational practices in the Global South.

Unicorn Awards

Every year our grade 10 learners are tasked with making a movie on iPad or MacBook that addresses a social issue such as gender bias, body shaming, social media impact and diversity. The top 10 movies each year are showcased at our prestigious Unicorn Awards. These movies are judged by an external panel. Below are some of the 2022 and 2023 movies directed, shot, edited and produced entirely by teams of grade 10 learners.
