We cover 5 core areas: Job exploration counseling, Work-based learning, Counseling on post-secondary education, Work place readiness training and Self-advocacy training.

SSBN is a prevocational program for adults 18 and over, with a focus on teaching and improving micro and macro skills in areas that are vital to success in the workplace, college, and everyday interactions. Participants learn these skills in a group setting through our structured curriculum, by actively participating in group discussions, skits, and other skills practice. The goal is for participants to enhance their social awareness, interactions, and relationships, and improve their ability to find and maintain a job.

JFK University Medical Center is the backdrop for the programs in Edison. High School and Adult clients may participate in career development programs, working in paid internships. Vocational Evaluations are conducted in house and are comprehensive with testing and situational assessment sites within the hospital. Training programs provide high skilled classes in computer operations and entry level lab worker. Many opportunities exist in Bergen County.
Computer training is also open to DDD clients.
