The Career & Community Studies Program (CCS) at The College of New Jersey is a four year inclusive, college-based certificate program for young adults with intellectual disabilities ages 18-25*. CCS is one of the oldest inclusive post secondary/transition programs in the country and received CTP (Comprehensive Transition Program) status by the U.S. Department of Education. The program is designed to prepare students for adult life through academic rigor, career discovery/readiness, and peer socialization as part of a diverse community of learners at The College of New Jersey.

Name of Organization: Turning Point at Bergen Community College
The Turning Point Program at Bergen Community College, is a two-year inclusive postsecondary transition program for young adults with intellectual disabilities ages 18-30 for students who are dual-enrolled under IDEA or have exited high school. The program is full time, non-residential and located on Bergen Community College’s campus in Paramus, NJ. The program utilizes student-centered planning, enhanced academic and peer mentoring support to provide an inclusive college experience that promotes the advancement of skills and knowledge in the areas of career/vocational skill development, academic enrichment, and relationship building. Program goals focus on assisting students in developing the skills and experiences necessary to prepare them for adult life in the areas of employment, self-determination and decision making skills. Participants who successfully complete all program requirements will receive a non-degree Certificate of Achievement through the Division of Continuing Education. The Division of Continuing Education and Turning Point Program offer a variety of Career Path credentialing options to enrolled students that offer them the opportunity to earn industry-valued certifications and credentials. Successful completion of these credentialing options will assist students in attaining competitive employment within their chosen field after graduation.

Name of Organization: COMPASS Program
COMPASS is an individually tailored, comprehensive, academic, and social support program for a very limited number of college students with high functioning Autism Spectrum Disorder or Asperger’s Syndrome.
COMPASS is offered separately on each of FDU’s two New Jersey campuses. The goals of this two-year program are:
to help each student recognize and make use of existing academic and social strengths,
to aid in the development of new abilities, and
to promote progress toward a higher level of independent functioning.

Name of Organization:The College Experience at The College of Saint Rose; and CareerNext at SUNY Cobleskill and SUNY Schenectady
CareerNext is a unique college support program designed specifically to help students with autism and learning differences. CareerNext students are enrolled in SUNY Cobleskill or SUNY Schenectady. Students are enrolled taking credited courses working towards a Certificate, Associates or Bachelors degree of their choosing (SUNY Cobleskill is a 4-year college, and SUNY Schenectady is a 2-year community college). All CareerNext students have access to the professional, individualized guidance they need to succeed in college.
The College Experience is a certificate program that gives students with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to attend college, be part of a campus community, and take part in a program that helps them transition to independent adult life. Collaboratively developed by The College of Saint Rose and Living Resources, The College Experience program combines general education courses, elective courses, and real world living and job experiences to prepare students for success in the real world.
Services Provided: The College Experience is a two-year non-credit bearing life skill and employment focused college program, hosted at The College of St. Rose in Albany, NY. The College Experience offer students the opportunity to experience College life while being supported in a unique curriculum tailored to the goals of independent living and employment. Enrolled College Experience students are considered St. Rose students therefore they are fully involved in campus life of clubs and activities and on campus amenities.
