I have learned about WordPress which is something very new to me at the time and extends my knowledge about web development beyond normal web programming language and web framework. For example: Now I can install WordPress on my local host or on my computer to work on it offline without requiring an online connection. I also improve my documentation and task recording skills which are good for me to use a single truth of document to plan and remind myself about the tasks that are either finished or in progress. I also improve my communication skills as well by asking more questions to my employer if the task requires more detail and instruction.
Being part of IConnect enables me to keep track of my tasks as a report, allowing me to create a timeline of them starting with the start date and finishing with the end date. I also have learned new technology tool, which is Wordpress. WordPress was something I had never heard of before, and it has expanded my understanding of online development beyond the real of standard web programming languages and web frameworks.
"During the internship, please don't be afraid to make mistakes. I've made more than my fair share of errors, such as not being effectively prepared or not knowing how to use WordPress."

During my six-month IConnect internship, I worked as a web development intern at a university, where we built a WordPress blog site and designed the website logo. Along with useful life lessons like effective communication, teamwork, and time management, I gained new technical abilities. One benefit of being a part of the IConnecT program is that it gave me the chance to work in a real-world environment, engage with professionals in the field, and use my expertise to address real-world issues. The only drawback I can consider is the constrained amount of time I had to balance my internship and university obligations. Yet, I had a great chance to practice time management and task prioritization thanks to this situation.
Being a part of the IConnecT Program, I have defined myself better on how to build and manage front-end and mobile apps. I have learned to troubleshoot whenever I face a bug or any error. I spend many hours fixing and getting to know the problems. I have also learned how to organize the structure of the codes, identify what pattern or what principle has been used inside the code, and maintain it whether it was followed to the standards of the frameworks that I use or not. Then, I have learned and educated myself to create cleaner, more understandable, and more organized code that the next generation or next version of developer can understand quickly. This new ability has transformed the way I write and understand code, as well as how I packaged the code base on its directory.

Being a part of both IConnect Program and being an intern data analyst have taught me so much as a student, a programmer, an analyst, and an individual as a whole. The program is a chance to motivate myself to get an internship and to perform well. Also, it give me an opportunity to learn about something that interest me and making it a part of the school curriculum.
As a UI/UX designer intern, I have the opportunity to develop and improve a wide range of soft skills that are valuable not only in my current role but also in my future career. One of the most important soft skills I can learn as an intern is communication. Effective communication is crucial in any work environment, and as an intern, I have the chance to practice and refine my communication skills by interacting with my colleagues, supervisors, and clients. This includes not only verbal communication but also written communication, such as emails and reports. Additionally, as an intern, I can develop my problem-solving skills by taking on challenging tasks and learning to approach problems creatively and collaboratively. Time management, teamwork, and adaptability are other valuable soft skills that I can learn as an intern, which will serve me well in any future role I take on.

Being a part of the IConnecT program has brought a lot of benefits as a college student. As a student who is in the faculty of ICT, being able to apply my skills and deliver the product significantly motivates me to pick up new knowledge and technologies and pushes me out of my comfort zone. The core value of computer science does not rely on proving the concept but also on proving the effectiveness and significance of those concepts in real life. However, despite having a massive impact on the students’ journey, the program itself also inflicts some consequences that are worth considering, for instance time management.
My journey in the IConnect experience and eKYC started at the end of year 3 of university when I aspired to be a machine learning intern. My role in eKYC is as a machine learning intern. My responsibilities are: to assist in data gathering, data collection, developing algorithms and models and embedding them in applications. My experience working in the industry and eKYC is an enlightening one where I was exposed to the everyday workflow of what it means to be working in a tech company in the field of machine learning. I have experienced tremendous improvement in my skills.

One of the pros of being a part of the IConnecT program was the opportunity to work with professionals in the industry and gain real-world experience. This has allowed me to develop my skills and build a network of professional contacts that will be valuable to me in the future. On the other hand, one of the cons was the pressure of balancing my coursework and my internship responsibilities, which was challenging at times. Overall, my experience as a graphic designer intern at the university through the IConnecT program was a valuable and enriching one. I am grateful for the opportunity to work with such talented professionals and to have gained the skills and experience that will be valuable to me in my future career.
As a product development specialist, I conducted market analysis, doing SWOT analysis, Developing a product plan, and communicating with team members and stakeholders. My experience with the ICT 311/IConnect program was positive and provided me with valuable skills and knowledge. Working as a Product Development specialist at Snoopedu allowed me to gain hands-on experience in the product development process and develop important skills such as communication, critical thinking, business development, and design thinking.

In this industry, we need to be on trend and keep up with society in order to create popular content for our clients. This field may be challenging because there are many competitors but in my office we're trying to be unique and different from other marketing agencies. Being a part of the IConnecT Program, I could see my self-improvement in both hard and soft skills.
