In today's Digital Age, students are called-for to be adaptive to the changing circumstances, and ever ready to meet "challenge demands" in the market. Paragon International University offers IConnect program to answer this call.
The IConnecT program offers special courses which employ ICT students while earning academic credits. This would help them enrich their knowledge and improve relevant skills thru experiential learning. It aims to engage students in the real world, and put into practice the theories learned within the corners of a classroom. It will also support students find career goals on a whole new level.
Through this program, linkages with different IT industries and organizations will also help in the improvement of the University’s curriculum to bridge the gap between the academe and the industry.
Offer work-integrated learning courses to foster ICT students; for them to personally and professionally grow through actual practice in the industry. It also aims to enable better university-industry collaboration in a community where the school is a part of.
The program envisions:
To deploy students in the ICT field, and encourage them to promptly adapt with their environment while learning.
To enhance their technical skills and boost their soft skills.
To promote personal and professional growth amongst the students
To bridge the gap between the curriculum offered in the academe and the skills needed by the IT industries.
To realize our mission and vision, the following must be undertaken.
Experience: Develop technical skills thru experiential learning
Teamwork: Adapt and work well with others
Aptitude: Articulate new solutions to challenges
Skills: Increase both technical and soft skills
Knowledge: Transfer academic knowledge into practice
