The ICT program in Paragon University is one of the best learning experiences during my senior year. As an individual with the help of this program, it provides the opportunity to explore and understand how to use all skills and knowledge which I had learnt so far to apply into real work. In addition, the program includes weekly tasks which allows me to record all the work I have been doing. Also, it helps me plan upcoming tasks in a clear schedule. As a result, it improves my work efficiency as well as personal improvement in terms of better time management.
In the long run, this program will be of huge benefit in my career paths, specifically, in the field of technology. It provides insight into how technology companies actually work. Personally, I think the ICT program is the best recommendation for sophomore and junior students who seek to explore and learn more about their own ability, skills and passion. I hope this message will convince you to join the ICT program.
It has been truly a fruitful and a valuable experience for me after having joined the IConnect Program during my fourth year of university. Before joining the program and being an ICT student as well, I was not aware of how the real ICT world functions.
Throughout the IConnect Program, I didn’t just spend time merely for compliance with the program to get credits, but it has been an outlet for learning something new and a motivation to strive hard. A lot of opportunities and responsibilities were given to me during my internship which, of course, resulted in imparting a greater knowledge of what ICT is all about to me as well. I was able to acquire skills at school but applying it to the work allows me to know more and more. I learned to be more patient, objective and disciplined.
With the experience I was able to acquire during the program, I am now much more confident and well-equipped for my future career in the ICT field. I am also very grateful for this opportunity given to me by the IConnecT Program. All of the things I learned are beyond my expectations and I am very thankful for all of it.

My Iconnect experience so far has been really amazing. The program itself is quite interesting. I have learned so much both academically and personally from the beginning to the very end of the program. This program has allowed me to express my ideas and use the skills and knowledge that I acquired from class, and put them into practice. In addition, I have also met with a lot of amazing people who helped in guiding me throughout my project.
All I can say is that this has been quite an experience so far. I would like to encourage all fellow ICT students to take part in this program, if they want to learn and apply all the knowledge they have acquired in class, as this program will help them prepare for the ICT industry as well as the workplace.
In terms of skill, I have learned two main components which are soft and hard skills. When it comes to soft skills, being responsible in the workplace is very important, problem solving is also another key ability to understand the assigned task. Time management is also an essential skill. During my 3 months internship, I have to work and study at the same time. Furthermore, communication skills is also important to understand each other and finish all the assigned tasks effectively. Last but not least, creative and innovative is essential for a UX/UI designer.
In terms of hard skills, project management skills is useful in the workplace. This is to organize the task and to structure the whole task assigned. Secondly, UX/UI design is also another skill that I have learned. Thirdly, in terms of design, I have learn how to do user research and user experience design when designing a website. In terms of tools, I have an advance knowledge of Figma and Adobe XD.

Throughout this semester, I have acquired various old and new skills, both hard (technical) and soft. For technical skills, I have learned more about how software projects are built, maintained, and integrated into an array of existing working systems, how to secure web applications and address common vulnerabilities, and how to apply what I have learned about design patterns to the code that I write. It is especially important that I have hands-on experience in these areas. As for soft skills, I continue to learn and improve my communication skills, specifically in team discussions, sharing sessions, and weekly meetings. I have also gained more confidence in expressing and defending my ideas. These skills are vital in collaborating while working on programming projects. On top of these skills, as aforementioned, I have also gained time management skills and become more persistent in difficult work and study environments.
As a consequence of my participation in the IConnecT Program, I now have a better understanding of how to design and manage front-end web apps. I've learnt to troubleshoot whenever I discover a problem or an issue. I dedicate less hours on addressing and learning about the difficulties. I've also learnt how to organize codes and maintain them to guarantee that they meet the frameworks' standards. Because I now have to maintain the source code as well, I've read and educated myself on how to produce cleaner, more legible, and more organized code. This new talent has dramatically altered the way I write and interpret code, as well as how I work in general.
