Welcome to the Department of Architecture!
Cambodia is experiencing a period of rapid development, which is transforming not only its infrastructure but also the lifestyles and values of its people. As a result, there is a growing demand for cities that are not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing. Inspired by the urban centers of Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, and Singapore, local businesses are actively hiring architectural specialists to create appealing spaces that meet these expectations. This trend is visible in the modern designs of new office buildings, malls, and coffee shops, and it is a movement that will continue to shape Cambodian cities for decades to come.
The Department of Architecture at Paragon University offers one of Cambodia’s leading Bachelor of Architecture programs. Our curriculum is carefully aligned with international and national standards, including the UN Global Sustainable Development Goals, the Cambodia Policy on Higher Education Vision 2030, the Cambodia National Qualification Framework, and the Cambodia Industrial Development Policy 2015-2025.
Our dynamic program is built around core design studio modules where, each semester, students tackle a different type of project, from residential and cultural projects to high-rise buildings. In their final year, students complete a Capstone Project to graduate. The curriculum provides a comprehensive education in areas like spatial composition, architectural history, structural design, landscape architecture, and sustainable design. To prepare students for the demands of the industry, we also ensure they are proficient in the latest CAD and design software, such as Revit, AutoCAD, Photoshop, and ArchiCAD.
Beyond the classroom, our four-year program encourages students to participate in local and international competitions, field trips, exhibitions, and conferences. Students can also join various clubs and engage in charitable activities, enriching their academic experience and helping them develop into socially conscious individuals with strong human values.

Throughout their studies, ARC students learn to combine their knowledge and experience with imagination and artistry to create unique and coherent designs. Additionally, students obtaining an ARC major learn to use design to solve urban problems and create sustainable urban spaces.
The objectives of the Department of Architecture reflect the view that architecture is an intellectual discipline, both an art and a profession. The program, therefore, is based on the following intentions:
To stimulate artistic sensitivity and creative powers
To strengthen intellectual growth and the capacity to develop creative and responsible solutions to unique and changing problems
To help the student acquire the individual capabilities necessary for the competent practice of architecture and lifelong learning.
