How can parents and caregivers help with learning at home?

● Listen to your child read a story, then ask them to retell what happened in the story

● Help your child to learn all their basic facts off by heart

● Encourage your child to complete the assigned learning tasks on the class site to the best of their ability

● Actively monitor that your child is being cybersmart online and following the Kawa of Care at all times

● Ask your child to share some of the learning tasks that they have created with you

● Talk to your child about what’s happening in the world, how they are feeling and what they’re finding challenging

● Spend time together as a family baking, gardening, playing games, exercising and having fun
