IMPORTANT! MLs with an SDD Level 1, participation in all MAP Growth tests is optional; these students are expected to take LAS Links for language screening and progress monitoring (refer to BPS Guide to LAS Links Administration).

IMPORTANT! Tests taken outside of these windows will not be included in reports and will be considered "unofficial."
Winter Participation Requirements: Grades 3 - 11 with ONE exception:
Exception: Students at SDD Level 1 are not required to participate in MAP GROWTH testing, instead they will take LAS Links in Spring.

About MAP Growth
What is NWEA MAP Growth? MAP Growth is a universal screener that assesses students' academic knowledge and instructional levels. MAP Growth helps teachers understand what students know and what they are ready to learn next.
MAP Growth is a computer-adaptive assessment that adjusts to the ability of the individual student and monitors growth over time.
In BPS, students in grades 4-11 take MAP Growth Reading and Math 3 times per school year, while students in grade 3 take MAP Growth Reading and Math 2 times per school year. Testing is conducted during the designated assessment windows in Fall, Winter, and Spring.
