• IMPORTANT! Multilingual learners (MLs) are still required to take the designated MAP assessments for their specific grade level. There are no exceptions for students in grades K2–3, who must participate in MAP Reading Fluency as mandated by state regulations for identifying reading difficulties.  See participation requirements here. 

• MAP Fluency Testing: School Leaders, Coordinators, and proctors should review the BPS Guide to MAP Administration SY25–26.

  • Winter/MOY Testing Window: 12/8- 1/16

    • IMPORTANT! Tests taken outside of these windows will not be included in reports and will be considered "unofficial." 

• • Winter MAP Fluency Participation Requirements: Grade K2 - 3 (All students)

    • Grade K2 = Foundational Skills / *Grades 1-3 = Adaptive Oral Reading

      • *Exception: You may assign the Foundational Skills plus Dyslexia Screener in the MOY window to students in grades 1 - 3 who are not yet decoding full words or sentences. For more information, please refer to the MAP Fluency Proctor Guidance.
