Welcome to the Co-Curricular Music Hub. We are going to continue with some of our planned activities which we know will work remotely.

Whilst there are lots of challenges ahead, there is no reason why we should not continue to make music, and so we shall!

College Choir

Unfortunately due to recent Covid-19 restrictions we will not currently be able to hold Choir rehearsals. We shall return as soon as possible however, and you will be notified as soon as we can start again - have no fear, we shall sing again!

Marching Band

Following the great success of producing an online virtual recording of 'This Is My Country' during the initial lockdown, Mr Thornhill will try a similar method to produce a recording of 'Sailing', which is particularly pertinent to all at 'Team Pangbourne', and 'OP's' alike.

Chamber Choir

Mr McDade will be sending out various pieces of repertoire for members of this ensemble to listen to in the coming weeks. The first 2 works were posted in the first week of term on the Chamber Choir group page.

Big Band

Unfortunately due to recent Covid-19 restrictions we will not currently be able to hold Big Band rehearsals. We shall return as soon as possible however, and you will be notified as soon as we can possibly start again.

Concerts

We will be assembling a series of online concerts throughout the term. Mr Thornhill will be asking you to submit recorded performances of your playing, which can then be edited into a complete concert of music, to be released during the term. Unfortunately, you will have to provide your own tea and cake - sorry!

Guidelines for submitting performances are available on the Concerts link at the top of this page. The first concert will be for the pianists, and the second towards the end of term, will be for any instrumentalists/singers.

Spot The Song Challenge

In the coming weeks there will be a fortnightly challenge to link a series of favourite songs to the teachers who have chosen them. The first of these challenges will appear in the week before half term.
