How to prepare for next stage of education ["tertiary education"] is a topic that could absorb countless waking hours. I hope, by now, you will appreciate that 'pre-reading' is a very powerful tool in the learning process. Your eventual success at your chosen course will be significantly helped by getting off on the right foot.
Although I have tried to put together the best reading lists/MOOCS/advice I can find from representative institutions... ..I was most impressed by this answer from one university I wrote to on this matter....
"Our departments will be getting in touch with our offer holders by email to give them tips on what to read, how to keep busy etc. in the lead up to the course, but I am not sure if many other universities will take this approach.
In terms of getting in touch with firm choices for this information, it is always better to get in touch with the department directly. Most universities should have a landing page like https://le.ac.uk/biological-sciences with a contact us section where students can find the email address to the specific department.
I think it is always better for students to try and get this information from their firm choice in the first instance anyway as the advice can vary from university to university dependent on what they teach."
Many universities have put some of their lectures online for you to be able to get a sense of the style of teaching at tertiary education.
You can get that sense from Massolit too. It is a website that students have used for English, Politics Philosophy, Psychology Ethics and Classics.

Cambridge
King’s College has the best online recommendations...
Homerton College seem to have pinched good stuff from everywhere
The merit of the Downing College site is that if you click through to “Engineering Fresher” or whatever your subject is/”Fresher” then you get a first year reading list.
Oxford
Oxford have of course collected their subject advice together in one sensible website.
