Filosofia do Programa de Estudos Brasileiros da PAS POA

O Programa Brasileiro é composto pelas disciplinas de Língua Portuguesa, Literatura e Estudos Sociais Brasileiros, tendo como base principal a literatura e as ciências sociais. Nosso currículo baseia-se nos Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais, na Base Nacional Curricular Comum e nos Temas Transversais, desde a Educação Infantil até o Ensino Médio, em concordância com a Lei de Diretrizes e Bases da Educação Nacional estabelecidas pelo Ministério da Educação (MEC). Além disso, concilia as exigências dos programas Primary Years (PYP) e Middle Years (MYP), contemplando o desenvolvimento do perfil do aluno International Baccalaureate (IB).

Nossos estudantes estrangeiros também têm a oportunidade de aprender Português como língua adicional. Nessas aulas, o aluno aprenderá a construção da linguagem e desenvolverá habilidades orais e escritas, além de se beneficiar dos fortes laços que nossa escola tem com a cultura local. Isto proporciona aos estudantes internacionais a oportunidade de mergulhar completamente na cultura brasileira. Nosso programa de Língua Portuguesa desafia o aluno a dominar o idioma e a explorar as características da comunicação e da expressão, fazendo com que tenha uma postura de buscar entender antes de ser compreendido. The Brazilian Program is composed of the subjects Portuguese Language, Brazilian Literature, and Brazilian Social Studies, with literature and social sciences as the main basis. Our curriculum is based on the National Curriculum Parameters, the Common National Curriculum Base, and the Cross-Curriculum Themes, from Early Childhood Education through High School, in accordance with the Law of Directives and Bases of National Education established by the Ministry of Education (MEC). In addition, it reconciles the requirements of the Primary Years (PYP) and Middle Years (MYP) programs, contemplating the development of the student's International Baccalaureate (IB) profile.

Our foreign students also have the opportunity to learn Portuguese as an additional language. In these classes, the student will learn language construction and develop oral and written skills, as well as benefit from the strong ties our school has with the local culture. This allows international students to fully immerse themselves in Brazilian culture. Our Portuguese Language program challenges the student to master the language and explore the characteristics of communication and expression, fostering an attitude of seeking to understand before being understood.
