The Student Internship Program in the Philippines (SIPP) Coordinators of the College of Computing Studies (CCS) are designated faculty members tasked to oversee, manage, and monitor the implementation of the internship program in accordance with CHED Memorandum Order (CMO) No. 104, Series of 2017.

Each SIPP Coordinator is assigned to handle specific class sections to ensure proper guidance, monitoring, and compliance of student interns.

Roles and Responsibilities of the SIPP Coordinator

In accordance with CHED CMO No. 104, s. 2017, the SIPP Coordinator performs the following responsibilities:

1. Assistance and Guidance to Student Interns

Provide clear instructions regarding internship policies, procedures, and timelines

Assist students in understanding pre-deployment, deployment, and post-deployment requirements

Clarify the distinction between:

Endorsement for application, and

Clearance for deployment

Address student inquiries related to internship processing

2. Coordination with Host Training Establishments (HTEs) 

Coordinate with partner companies, agencies, and organizations accepting student interns

Facilitate communication between the institution and HTEs regarding:

Internship guidelines

Student deployment schedules

Ensure that HTEs comply with CHED internship standards

3. Processing and Validation of Internship Requirements 

Review and validate pre-deployment documents

Ensure completeness and accuracy of submitted requirements 

Recommend students  to start internship only upon full compliance

4. Monitoring and Supervision of Interns 

Monitor student interns throughout the duration of their internship

Track internship status and progress through reports and documentation

Coordinate with HTE supervisors when necessary regarding student performance or concerns

Ensure that students complete the required number of internship hours
