MetKids

  • MetKids allows students to travel to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. In the “Explore the Map” section, students can click on the cartoon map of the Met and find some of the most popular pieces. In the “Time Machine” section, they can search for pieces by time period, geography, or big ideas. In the “Videos” section, they can watch videos made by kids about pieces in the Met, history, and creation of art in general.

Smithsonian Learning Lab

  • The Learning Lab requires you to make a free account, but you are able to curate your own collections of primary sources. They even have some already created for teachers!

PBS Learning Media

  • PBS Learning Media is a mecca for having social studies lessons already created for teachers. It has the option to transfer things into Google Classroom, and makes things very easy for the teacher! It has an abundance of videos and other resources.
