Create a simple schedule that works for your family. Keep in mind that you don't have to stick to normal school hours. Use evenings or weekends if needed.
Establish an at-home work space. Organize resources and materials in this space so that what you need is easily accessible. This should be a different set-up than where students normally play games or watch television.
Clarify expectations for device use during work time. Put the cell phone aside, and use a school-oriented device, such as a laptop, Chromebook, or iPad.
Make sure students take plenty of breaks in order to get physical activity and time away from screens. You can use this time to do some elective work or just get outside!
