The PCMS Hurricane Badge 2019-20

The Hurricane Pins celebrate and recognize the extra effort that faculty members put forth to make PCMS great. Being a faculty member at Pamlico County Middle School carries with it many responsibilities. An important part of helping students succeed begins with creating a learning environment that is safe, supportive, and full of opportunities for student growth.

Teacher leadership is critically important to accomplishing our goals. These pins recognize the many ways that teachers provide leadership at PCMS. The Leadership Team, committees, and Grade Level work are all vital to school improvement. The Hurricane Pins also recognize teacher efforts in our athletics program.

*The pins listed above are examples of pins that will be awarded in this badge category. This is not an exhaustive list. These pins will not require the completion of a request form. The pins will be rewarded by Dr. Johnson for participation in committees, athletics, and other forms of leadership.
