Week 2: Targeted Intervention & Lesson Assignment
Focus: Translating data insights into actionable instructional strategies, specifically using iReady's personalized lessons or small group interventions.
PD Session: 60-75 minutes
Review & Share (15 min): Briefly discuss insights from Week 1 data analysis. Teachers share one key takeaway from their individual student data.
Modeling iReady Lesson Assignment (20 min): Model how to use the "Instructional Grouping" report and the "Assign Lesson" feature in iReady to assign targeted phonics lessons to individual students or small groups based on the identified subdomains from Week 1. Emphasize the "why" behind assigning specific lessons. Model how to leverage iReady's "Teacher-Led Instruction" resources (ex. downloadable lessons, activities) to plan a brief (10-15 minute) small group intervention for a specific phonics skill, demonstrating how to differentiate based on data.
Co-Planning Time (15-20 min): Teachers work individually or in small groups to begin planning their targeted iReady lesson assignments or small group interventions for their identified students. I will circulate to provide support.

Teacher Action Step (Weekly Focus): By the end of the week, each teacher will have assigned targeted iReady Phonics lessons for at least 75% of their identified students or planned and prepared a small group phonics intervention based on their data analysis. Teachers will implement these assignments/interventions.
Progress Monitoring (Quantitative Look-Fors):
iReady Reports: Review iReady Phonics usage reports at the end of the week to check for the initial 10% increase in student usage across the group.
Coach Review: Teachers submit a list of students for whom iReady Phonics lessons were assigned, or a brief outline of their small group intervention plan (including the targeted phonics skill and students involved).
The teacher will utilize the iReady Tracking resources.
