"This year I focused on continuing my documentary filmmaking and expanding with new locations and mediums. I was able to film at the beach this semester, which is something I’ve wanted to try for a while - I also experimented with camcorders, Super 8mm, and other types of filmmaking I’d never done. I have a few film internship jobs lined up for me after graduation (one on a documentary in Provincetown and one on a TV show in Japan), and then I’ll be applying to film schools in New York City! I’m really excited to go to a school where I can collect all the tools necessary to apply film to my life in whatever ways are most compatible - helping people with advertisements, generating social awareness documentaries, and just having fun with such a complex medium where so many factors can be edited. I know that when I think of a film career I definitely do not see myself on a large studio production as the head of a department, but rather as a renaissance man that can help with nearly every aspect and cater my services to the projects I like (or the ones that pay the most). Dreyfoos has helped me a ton when it comes to filmmaking, in so many ways, and I’m extremely grateful!"
