"Through four years of film at Dreyfoos, I have been given the opportunity to experiment in so many different aspects of filmmaking, everything from documentaries to horror movies. For my senior year, I really wanted to focus on learning the different roles on a film set, helping my fellow filmmakers produce their movies and screenwriting, something I found a unique interest in my sophomore year. What I love most about film is the ability to tell a story, any story, in so many different and vibrant ways, giving such a creative outlet. While I will not be pursuing a career in film, I am so grateful for how the film department, my peers and Ms. Hernandez have helped me grow both as an artist and an individual. I know I will continue to write and make movies as a passion, and that I will use the lessons I have learned here in my future endeavors.
My message to the future film classes would be that film is an art and a passion, but what you really can get out of it is the skill to express yourself, show your thoughts, and work with others to create something special."
