"This past year, I wanted to really take the time to research topics that truly interest me and that I hadn’t heard much about. I delved deep into the genre and history of experimental avant-garde cinema, learning the techniques used and watching films in this genre to get a better understanding of the development of the genre over time. Through researching Maya Deren, a ground-breaking avant-garde artist, I became interested in the portrayal of femininity in film. I found inspiration in different films over the decades, and researched into the techniques and growth of feminine filmmaking."

Favorite Films!
Hacksaw Ridge (2016) So so emotional and a great portrayal of the time period.
I, Tonya (2017): Such a good recreation of the actual events while also providing the back story many people didn’t take the time to consider.
Spiderman, No Way Home (2021): I am a HUGE Marvel fan, and this film really blew my expectations out of the park.
Twilight (2008): Listen, I know it’s bad. But it’s also incredible. In the worst way. It’s just so overly dramatic and unrealistic that I love it! (the blue tint <3)
Grand Army (2020): SO emotional and heartbreaking. Pulls the viewer into all the storylines and keeps you rooting for all of the main characters, while relating to real life issues that many people can understand and relate to.
