Motor Skills

Occupational and Physical Therapy at TCS

As contracted through Palliser School Division, Trinity has access to occupational therapy and physical therapy.  When students need support for motor skills, as determined by teachers and parents, the occupational therapist (OT) and/or physical therapist (PT) can provide some intervention or consultation to teachers. In the lower grades, the OT provides support to teachers about printing challenges.  For older students, assistive technology is an important accommodation that allows them to concentrate on ideas rather than formation of letters.

Writing Accommodations

At TCS, some students may need the support of a scribe for assignments or tests.  In the older grades, they may use accessibility text-to-speech programs like Read&Write for Google Chrome.

Below, you will find Parent Resources. Sharing information is part of the TCS commitment to partner with parents to provide resources and connections to help parents support their child.

Most of these are from sources outside of TCS, so please use your discretion.
