Monitoring and Evaluation: Establish mechanisms to monitor progress and evaluate the effectiveness of our Rautaki Reo Māori journey. Collect feedback from staff, tamariki, and our whānau members to continuously improve and adapt approaches based on outcomes and challenges encountered.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Establish specific, measurable KPIs related to language usage, fluency levels, and community engagement. These can help track progress over time.
Surveys and Feedback: Regularly conduct surveys within the community to gather feedback on language initiatives and gauge public perception and usage of Māori language.
Language Proficiency Assessments: Implement assessments for individuals to measure improvements in proficiency.
Community Engagement Events: Organize and evaluate the impact of events aimed at promoting the Māori language, such as festivals, workshops, and educational programs.
Data Collection and Analysis: Collect quantitative data on language usage in various domains (i.e. akomanga, school van, hall, during kai time, class games, playground, EOTC ) and analyze trends over time.
Partnerships and Collaborations: Work with our communities, iwi and marae to evaluate joint initiatives and share best practices.
