Zoom’s Children’s Educational Privacy Statement
The statement at this link outlines Zoom’s policies as they pertain to the use of their meeting software
in an educational setting. https://explore.zoom.us/en/schools-privacy-statement/
All parents/guardians should understand these terms as they apply to Paideia School’s use of Zoom
software.
Half Day, Elementary School, and Junior High
Students at the elementary school level may utilize Zoom in the following ways.
In cases of quarantine, the student’s teacher may set up a Zoom meeting and provide the link to join the class from home. The student can join the meeting from any device without logging into a Zoom account. The student should provide only their first name and last initial to protect their privacy.
Elementary students are not permitted to have their own Zoom accounts using their school email address. Any elementary student who has been using a Zoom account created with their Paideia email will lose access to that account. If the student has the need for a Zoom account for a non-school related activity outside of the school setting, families may create an account with a personal email address. Paideia assumes no responsibility for the student's use of a personal/family account.
Zoom may be used by the school for presentations or webinars that the students will observe.
High School
Students at the high school level may utilize Zoom in the following ways.
In cases of quarantine, the student’s teacher may set up a Zoom meeting and provide the link to join the class from home. The student can join the meeting from any device without logging into a Zoom account. The student should provide only their first name and last initial to protect their privacy.

Any accounts belonging to the school should be used strictly for educational purposes. Paideia assumes no responsibility for the student's use of a personal/family account.
