What is considered “normal” and when to be concerned?

It is often difficult for a parent, teacher, or other significant adult to determine whether their teen’s behavior is part of normal adolescence or something that they should be truly concerned about and address. One indicator of potential emotional or behavioral problems is a sudden change in your adolescent’s mood or behavior that lasts more than two weeks.
