WIN (What I Need)
During the 2026-27 school year, we will be introducing WIN time at the high school. WIN stands for “What I Need”, and will be replacing previous supports such as Homework Help, Study Hall, and Intervention time.
Most high school students will see at least 1 WIN session included in their course schedule, which may be any of the following:
WIN-Math: Academic Support
WIN-English: Academic Support
WIN-Science: Academic Support
WIN- Study Skills: Behavior Support
WIN - Act 158: Graduation Pathway Support
WIN - Student Success: Counselor Support
These sessions will support students in their completion of coursework in a way that meets their needs, according to their previous school performance and data.

📚Academic Support
WIN-Math, WIN-English, and WIN-Science sessions are facilitated by content area teachers in order to help students with their skills and coursework. These sessions may include guided support in completing course lessons, re-teaching of skills needed to complete course lessons, Keystone test prep and practice, and /or small group intervention and skill practice.
🖥️Behavior Support
WIN-Study Skills is designed to support students who struggle with working independently. During these sessions, teachers will use Go Guardian to monitor students working independently so that when they see them start to struggle, avoid using their resources, or go idle, they can redirect and support accordingly. The goal is for students to be successful in completing their independent lessons.
🎓Graduation Pathway Support
All 2027 graduates who need to complete their graduation pathway will be scheduled into a section of WIN - Act 158 in order to have designated time to work on completing their pathway. Once their Act 158 is complete, students may be removed from the section.
🆘Student Success
Facilitated by the high school counselors, WIN-Student Success creates a space for small groups that allow students to be supported in a variety of topics such as, but not limited to: academic success, emotional awareness and regulation, growth mindset, grief and coping strategies, social skills, etc.
For more intensive academic support, students also may be eligible for Academic Small Groups. Students who participate in these groups are identified through any of the following data points: standardized testing, Fluency Screeners, LinkIt Benchmark Assessments, and/or classroom assessments.

Title 1 Math Group
*Will not start until October, 202*
Small groups meet 2-3 times per week for 30 minute sessions with the Title 1 Math teacher.
Algebra FY
Alternate Algebra pathway that lengthens Algebra 1 to be a 2-year course
Year 1: Algebra 1A
Year 2: Algebra IB
Reading Foundations
A course worth elective credits that teaches foundational reading skills (phonics and decoding) to high school students.
