Alexander Street provides a wide range of streaming video through their Academic Video Online platform. The search engine is not espeically intuitive. Teachers are encouraged to schedule a consultation with a librarian to get started with this service. Three Alexander Street collections worth noting are:
Swank provides access to a large collection of recent and classic movies. Teachers can search the catalog and request access. Requests should be made at least one cycle prior to use. Teacher access Swank with their Packer email and password
Digital Theatre + provides a collection of filmed dramatic and musical productions, interviews with actors and playwrights, and lesson plans. Log in with Packer Google account

Sora (login with your Packer Google account) provides the library's ebook and audiobook collection. It is focused primarlily on recreation reading for faculty, staff, and students. However, audiobook versions of novels taught in English and History courses are purchsed if available. Use this directions to download a Sora title to a Kindle
Ebsco eBooks Academic Collection - provides access to a large collection of academic titles across a wide range of subjects, including university press books
Teachers can book visits to the library by contacting Sadie King-Hoffmann or Andrew Parson. Please note, the Veracross resource calendar does not show library availabity for class visit. Librarians are also available to come to classrooms to assist with research.
Teachers can place books on reserve in the Blackburne Library. Books can be form the library's collection or the teacher's own collection.Â
The librarians can create online resources guides that can be tailored to any assingment or research project. These guides can include library resources and databases as well as teacher provided links to online resources.
No. Platforms such as Netflix, Hulu, Spotify, etc do not offer institutional accounts. An individual's personal account is restricted to at home use only and does not include an allowance for educational use. The librarians are available to help you find solutions for in-class video streaming.
