CALIPSO
CALIPSO is an online system that students use to track their patient hours and encounters. Preceptors will use CALIPSO to approve student's hours. None of your clinic's Protected Health Information is included in these basic clockhour logs.
You will receive an e-mail with login and password information. When you receive it, please take a moment to follow the link to make sure that you can enter the system. [NOTE: There is no charge to you.]
Students are linked to the preceptor; you will be able to access student information, including contact information and their case logs and time logs. Students are encouraged to keep case logs relatively short, but may opt to write a longer entry.
An example of a case log might be simply “Adult male. Diagnostic hearing evaluation”.
Given the fact that most students will be writing full reports on patient interactions in your clinic, the case log is simply a short notation of the interaction. We prefer that they learn your report-writing format to increase the diversity of the educational experience.
Unlike the logs that many of us completed as students, our students will be tracking a fair amount of detail related to their experiences – e.g., age, specific skills applied, appointment duration. This information serves several purposes -- practice for the student, documentation of the student's competence in various areas, and documentation of clinical experiences provided by the program (for accreditation).
Students must submit the case and time logs within 48 hours of the patient encounter.
Preceptors are encouraged to approve the logs within a week of submission – i.e., within 10 days of the patient encounters. At a minimum, please verify patient demographic information and appointment (duration, skills) info.
Please email Trent Westrick (trent.westrick@pacificu.edu) or Keagan Weis (keagan@pacificu.edu) if you need assistance with account setup, log in access, clinical clock hours, or completing a performance evaluation.

Each university uses its own CALIPSO platform. If you have used CALIPSO before but with a different university, you will need to create a supervisor account with Pacific University's CALIPSO.
Your login ID is likely your ASHA number, your Audiology license number, or another number that you provided to our admin team when your CALIPSO account was created.
Your password was created by you; our admin team does not have access to your password.
If you need help retrieving your password, click 'Forgot password?' on the main login screen. Then, enter your login ID in the box under 'Enter 8-digit ASHA Number (or designated Login ID if no ASHA account)' and click 'send email.'
An email with password reset instructions will be sent to the email address that is linked to your CALIPSO account.
For additional technical assistance with CALIPSO, you can email their support team at support@calipsoclient.com or call them at 843-718-2435.
