Wellness Week

Brooke Lenigan, a Bishop Way Ambassador, shared resources with students about safe drinking. The tabling event included mocktails, a standard pour activity, and alcohol safety tips.

Tesla, a therapy dog, visited campus during Wellness Week to get "all the pets" from students.

On Monday, October 30 - Friday, November 4, the Bishop Way collaborated with different offices in the Division of Student Engagement and Success to host a campus-wide Wellness Week! Program topics included financial wellness, emotional wellness, social wellness, spiritual wellness, and physical wellness. Specific events hosted by the Bishop Way included Coffee and Canine Cuddles, where students could enjoy coffee and pet a therapy dog over the lunch hour, and a Mocktail and Safe Drinking tabling event. Mocktails and blood alcohol content (BAC) charts were provided at the event. Students were encouraged to participate in an activity to learn the volume of one standard drink of beer, wine, and liquor, and why they are different. Resources were also given out centered around safe drinking practices.

Thank you to Counseling Services, Bishop Elevate, the Chaplain’s Office, and Residential Life, who all hosted events throughout the week. The Wellness Week schedule also aimed to promote other events happening around campus that encouraged social wellness, including events hosted by the Campus Programming Board (CPB) and the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Council.
