8th Grade

Melissa was born and raised in Ada, Oklahoma where she attended Byng High School and East Central University where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Art Education in 1995. She taught at the Ada Alternative school and at Ada Junior High school before moving to Owasso in 2000. She has been teaching Art 1 and 2 at the Owasso 8th Grade Center for 17 years.

Blake Collins was born in Ada, Oklahoma before moving to Edmond, Oklahoma where he attended Edmond North High School and Oklahoma Christian University. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in AD/Design with an emphasis in Illustration and a Minor in Art Education from OC as well as a Master’s degree in Education Administration from the University of Texas Arlington. Blake has taught Art in Owasso since 2005. He is also the head Varsity Cross Country coach and assistant Varsity Track coach for Owasso High School.
