Career Pathways present opportunities for students to organize their coursework around interests in an effort to develop and pursue individual career goals. Oley Valley School District combines 14 on-campus career pathways, including Berks Career and Technical Center which offers 33 additional career pathway programs to support our students while enrolled at Oley Valley High School. Oley Valley School District's comprehensive career pathways program develops to meet the needs of a rapidly changing world. OVSD Career Pathways are enhanced by a growing number of dual enrollment opportunities empowering students to earn college credits and industry certifications while attending high school.

The OVHS Career & Workforce Development Program presents opportunities for students who are searching for a pathway and may not be engaged in a program of study that makes sense for them. This program fills a gap with goals to find and support the students who will enter directly into the workforce after graduation and may not be prepared for that future.
BCTC is a 3-year accredited program offering 33 career programs organized around 7 career areas and 4 technical academies with Reading Area Community College to students in grades 10, 11, and 12 from the 16 area school districts in Berks County. Students choosing the BCTC pathway attend their identified career and technical program on a half-day basis, while taking required academic courses at Oley Valley High School.
The College & Career Readiness Pathways program is designed around 5 broad career pathways, which are meant to bring focus and direction to a student's learning experience and prepare them to embrace a variety of opportunities after high school.
Qualified high school juniors and seniors can earn college credit courses and receive both high school and college credit simultaneously through a number of dual enrollment pathways. Students complete specified courses at OVHS or on college campuses, pay a fraction of the full time credit cost, and may earn an Associate's Degree upon graduation.
