Science

OVSD science education will be taught through the Inspire Science curriculum by McGraw Hill. This curriculum is structured around the 5E instructional framework that empower students to ask more questions, think more critically, and generate innovative ideas through in-depth, collaborative, evidence-based, and project-based learning experience.

All instruction will support student mastery of the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) for California Public Schools by exploring four general units (not in order):

  • Dynamic Ecosystems

  • Biodiversity in Ecosystems
