The Paterson Community Hub, known as the “Pop-in”, is a welcoming space created by volunteers from Paterson Community Builders, with generous support from Rural Aid, Paterson Rotary, and St Paul’s Church Paterson, which provides the venue.
Open every Wednesday afternoon from 3:30pm to 6:30pm until 17 December 2025, the Pop-in offers a relaxed place where locals can connect, share ideas, and access community resources.
The Hub aims to:
Strengthen social connections and reduce isolation.
Support wellbeing and resilience for all ages.
Encourage volunteering, collaboration, and local problem-solving.
Create opportunities for young people to connect with heritage and community.
Celebrate Paterson’s community spirit by providing a space to “pop in,” connect, and contribute.
Activities at the Pop-in could include:
Afternoon tea and a welcoming chat.
Games and craft activities for all ages.
Guest talks and information sessions on local services.
Heritage displays and storytelling about Paterson’s history.
Music, creative workshops, and youth-led activities.
A noticeboard and space for community project ideas.
The Pop-in is driven by community needs and energy, reflecting the vision that together, small steps can build a stronger, more connected Paterson.
