ECCL Cadres are people from the OUSD community that take on a BIG IDEA in the fight for environmental sustainability and justice in OUSD, Oakland and beyond.
Each cadre focuses on a particular issue and works toward a meaningful goal. Students, teachers, families, OUSD staff and community members are all welcome to join a cadre. The OUSD ECCL Team supports each cadre with thought partnership, community connections and grant writing,
The idea behind this group is to help educators and students navigate the underlying causes and effects perpetuating the climate crisis and engage in direct actions to mitigate it.
We are currently on inter-school collaborations where elementary, middle and high school students work on social and climate justice issues together.
