4. Fred korematsu was a Oakland born Japanese American who was arrested in 1944 in violation of Executive Order 9066. He challenged his arrest and appealed to the Supreme Court.

On Dec. 18, 1944 the Supreme Court Ruled that the President's Order was Constitutional, but in 1983 his case was reopened and his conviction was vacated. (10)
